Commissioned by European Bulk Services (EBS) Rotterdam, TES Industrial Systems has realized the complete electrical installation and drive system for shed 6.
This new bulk storage shed with a total surface area of approximately 18,000 m2 and consists of 24 storage bunkers, a storage hall and transit bunker. The bunkers are closed at the top by 16 roof hatches that can be moved over each other. For the hatch drive, each hatch is equipped with two motors that are powered by Siemens S120 frequency inverters. Electrically driven dust hatches on the high hatch sections prevent product contamination with adjacent bunkers. In addition, each roof hatch has a cable drum for the electrical supply and communication with the central Siemens 317F PLC.
Shed 6 is connected via fiber optic to the central WINCC scada server on the EBS site. TES has installed a wifi connected touchscreen display in the cabin of a new mobile Gottwald crane. A WINCC web client is shown on this display, by which the crane operator can open and close the bunkers fully automatically.
