Upgrade Kraan 2 Portbury Dock

TES Industrial Systems and Kalmar were commissioned by The Bristol Port Company to upgrade the single lift container crane 2 on The Royal Portbury Dock to the current state of the art, without affecting the functionality of the installation.

The old installation was completely removed and replaced with a completely new installation. At the request of the client, only the hoisting motor was reused. A Siemens 6RA80 DC drive was driven to control this motor.

Cat driving, crane driving and folding hoists were carried out with new engines, controlled by Vacon Drives. Once again we have shown that TES is able to meet customer-specific requirements and the Vacon Drives were once again applied very successfully.
